מתוך לשונית [[Gramps_Template:Version manual_Wiki_Manual_-_Navigation/he#הגדרות|מנהל התוספים← בדיקת עדכונים מתוזמנת]], ניתן לבדוק אם קיימים תוספים נוספים (או גרסאות מעודכנות) ולהוריד אותם. לאחר בחירה, התוספים יורדים משרתי פרויקט גרמפס ומותקנים מקומית במחשב שלך.

לאחר ההתקנה, תוסף יופיע באותו מקום כמו תכונה מובנית מאותו סוג. לדוגמה, תוספי כלים יופיעו בתפריט "כלים", בעוד שגרמפלטים יופיעו כבחירה חדשה בצד, בתחתית או בלוח הראשי (Dashboard) של מצגי סוגי־האב הרלוונטיים.

כיצד למוצא תכונה מסוימת? מנהל המתקעים והעדפות התוכנה הם מקומות טובים לחפש בהם תכונות נסתרות. תוספים אינם תמיד מתועדים בצורה עקבית במדריך, ולעיתים לא יופיעו במקום הצפוי בממשק המשתמש. ייתכן שמה שזכרת כתוצאה של דוח יתגלה למעשה כמצג מהיר – אשר נמצא בתפריט אחר לגמרי. או שהתוסף הותקן במחשב אחר או עבור גרסה אחרת של גרמפס. לכן כדאי לעיין ברשימת התוספים המותקנים או הזמינים להורדה כדי לאתר מחדש את התכונה.

התקנת תוספים בגרמפס

ניתן להגדיר את גרמפס כך שיבצע לבד בדיקה והורדה של עדכונים לתוספים, על־ידי שינוי ההגדרות לפי החלק המודגש בתמונה מימין, או לפי ההוראות שלהלן.

להלן סדרת הפעולות אותן יש לבצע כדי להגדיר את גרמפס לעבודה עם תוספים:

1. הפעלת תוכנת גרמפס
2. פתיחת התפריט [[Gramps_Template:Version manual_Wiki_Manual_-_Navigation/he#שימוש_במנהל_התוספים|עריכה ← מנהל תוספים...]]
3. מעבר ללשונית [[Gramps_Template:Version manual_Wiki_Manual_-_Navigation/he#הגדרות|הגדרות]]
4. במקטע בדיקת עדכונים מתוזמנת:
   1. שינוי האפשרות בדוק אם קיימים עדכונים לתוספים: לפעם בשבוע – תתבצע בדיקה בעת הפעלת גרמפס פעם בשבוע (הגדרה זו מומלצת, אך ניתן לבחור תקופה שונה לפי הצורך)
   2. שינוי האפשרות מה לבדוק לתוספים חדשים ומעודכנים – בדיקה עבור כל התוספים החדשים והמעודכנים (הגדרה זו מומלצת)
   3. שינוי הסימון לא לשאל שוב על תוספים שכבר דווחו
      ללא מסומן – כלומר, כל תוסף חדש או מעודכן יוצג תמיד (הגדרה זו מומלצת)
5. ניתן לוודא שלשונית [[Gramps_Template:Version manual_Wiki_Manual_-_Navigation/he#מייזמים|מיזמים ← היכן לבדוק]] הוגדר הקישור הנכון לרשימת התוספים. הקישור המומלץ הוא:

6. אם קיימת חיבור מרשתת, ניתן כעת ללחוץ על לבדוק אם קיימים תוספים מעודכנים כדי להפעיל את הבדיקה באופן מיידי לפי ההגדרות החדשות
7. מהחלון [[Gramps_Template:Version manual_Wiki_Manual_-_Settings/he#Available_Gramps_Updates_for_Addons|עדכוני גרמפס זמינים עבור תוספים]] תוצג רשימה מפורטת לפי סוג. ניתן להרחיב כל סוג על־ידי לחיצה על עמודת "בחר"
8. סמן את התוספים הרצויים להתקנה
9. לחיצה על התקן את התוספים שנבחרו כדי להוריד אותם מהאינטרנט
10. לאחר ההורדה, מהחלון ההורדה וההתקנה הושלמו, לחץ על סגירה
11. סגירת חלון העדפות בלחיצה על סגירה
12. כדי שהתוספים יהיו זמינים, יש לבחור אילנות יוחסין ← יציאה ולהפעיל מחדש את גרמפס

תוספים מוצגים בתוך גרמפס באמצעות המנשק שתואר לעיל. רשימת מנהל התוספים כוללת את ה[[Gramps_Template:Version manual_Wiki_Manual_-_Gramplets/he#רשימת_גרמפלטים|גרמפלטים]] המובנים, את הכלים ואת [[Gramps_Template:Version manual_Wiki_Manual_-_Navigation/he#דוחות|הדוחות]] המובנים, כמו גם כל תוסף צד־ג' שהורד… כגון אלה שברשימה הבאה.

Manually installed Addons

The following addons need to be installed manually. Some are still in the exploratory stage and have not yet been published to the list used by the Addon Manager. Some are scripts and need to be installed as described in the documentation provided with that addon.

Addons in the exploratory stages tend to be initially posted to the GitHub Gramps-Project repositories and have to be manually installed. Be certain to backup your Tree before installing anything. There is a potential for data loss with such preliminary versions.

1. Download the compressed file. (Click on a download link from the list of Addons below; or for unpublished exploratory addons, select the Download ZIP option from the <> Code button's menu in their GitHub repository)
2. Open the compressed file ( *.ZIP ; *.gz ; *.tgz / etc ...using 7-ZIP) and extract the contents to in your Gramps User Directory, in the gramps60/plugins folder.
3. After manually installing any addons, it may be necessary to restart Gramps to register plug-ins again.

The ZipInstall addon from the Isotammi project of the Finland Genealogical Society can simplify the install of a downloaded ZIP (or a .tgz) compressed archive from GitHub.

Addon/Plugin Errors Any addons/plugins which failed to load can be identified in the Help > Plugin Manager. View the Status column and double-click on any entry that shows an error. Some may rely on prerequisite modules that need to be installed. You can report any errors to the plugin contact.
