Welcome to Gramps! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the help pages. Again, welcome and have fun! Sam888 (talk) 19:49, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for the edits
welcome and thank you for the edits to the polski page Gioto (talk) 23:35, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
thanks for warm welcome
Thanks guys, this is just a beginning, i see quite a lot pages yet to be translated, as well as actually updated to 5.x
I'd love to also start a discussion, or some, about some code updates, and the way one could tackle filling Gramps - from simple use-cases to more complex. As far as know, there isn't any dynamic forum/irc/matrix/discord chat (that's fine, just wanted to be sure)
Welcome! There are 'unofficial' chats for dynamic conversations. https://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Contact#Unofficial
The official forum is Discourse based and rather active with short response lags. https://gramps.discourse.group/t/welcome-to-the-gramps-discourse-forum/7

In translating the Wiki, you may find it worthwhile to start with a polski Gramps Glossary page. It has the important Terms and Concepts in Gramps with hyperlinks to the best introductions for the feature. (I strongly recommend leaving the english anchors to the term but adding translated polski anchors too. This allows users to look up the term in either language ... and it doesn't break internal page links.

Welcome Survey
Welcome to the Gramps Project! and thank you for deciding to become a contributor,
Help us improve! First impressions are important... and, as a new account holder, we want to make it easier for you to become a productive member of the Gramps community.
You recently requested a new account to allow editing of the Gramps-Project.org online documentation. (Did you know that was the purpose of this account? Or did you think it was needed to download the program? Or to get access to the documentation? Or to ask for help or report an issue? Or to use one of the support or development resources? This account is not useful for any of those other reasons.)
Maybe some of the following introductory pages for new Gramps WikiContributors would have been more helpful?:
- Gramps WikiContributor help
- Editing existing pages
- Starting a new page
- Writing a “How Do I…?” (tutorial-style) article
- Translating a page to another language
Again, welcome and have fun!
