workaround for Cousin diagramming
But which children were the siblings? Just divide the ancestor number by 2 to get the number of their child. Half of 152 is 76 (Nathanial Christiansen) and half of 68 is 34 (off-screen in Figure 3 but this is Joseph Christiansen). You can use this method in any Ahnentafel Numbering System. You can also use [https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahnentafel#Deductive_reckoning "deductive reckoning"] determine their exact relationship to the #1 person by their number.

== Trickery to Diagram Cousin connections ==
The Consanguinity Gramplet is designed to help determine the various degrees of consanguineous relationships between the Active Person and their spouse(s). It does so in a more comprehensive way than can be found in any other combination of tools in Gramps.

But what if the people you want to compare and contrast are just distant cousins? The Gramplet is not designed to help with that... but you can trick it into helping. Create a temporary family and add the two cousins to be compared. The Edit Family must be closed with the OK button to commit it to the Tree.

When you have explored sufficient, Edit the temporary Family again to remove both people. When the Family Editor window is closed with the OK, the now-empty temporary family will be deleted.

Because the Consanguinity Gramplet was not designed for this purpose, it doesn't handle some relationship situations well. (As an example: creating a temporary relationship between Ancestor and their Descendant confuses it badly.)
