another case of an image upload failing in a unusual way. It initially showed success. Later, it decided the file was incompatible.
Replacement file uploaded. The dialog showed the upload as unrecognized. so re-saved it with GIMP and uploaded again. Oddly, after uploading the newly re-saved PNG the thumbnail for the 'bad' upload appeared.
