Suugestion: could we change to Unicode for the Checkbox template instead of the current (slightly superscripted) empty & filled boxes? (Or is Unicode browser support too spotty?)

The empty box just looks like an unsupported character font substition while the filled box looks like a variation of a bulleted list marker.
