You can activate the Quick View by right-clicking on a person's name in the [[Gramps_{{man version}}_Wiki_Manual_-_Categories#People_Category|People Category View]]. Then select {{man menu|Quick View > Biography}}.
The developer recommends using <code>Title Given "Nickname" SURNAME Suffix</code> [[Gramps_5.2_Wiki_Manual_-_Settings#Display_Name_Editor|custom name format]] in preferences. The Biography Quickview Quick View uses the “Common” name in the body of its report. The fallback order of “Common” name is: Call Name (if present), Nickname (if present), First name from the Given Name field.
The [[Gramps_{{man version}}_Wiki_Manual_-_Settings#Display_Name_Editor|name]], date, <!-- age, -->and [[Gramps_{{man version}}_Wiki_Manual_-_Settings#Place_Format_Editor|place]] formats are controlled from the [[Gramps_5.2_Wiki_Manual_-_Settings#Display_Options|Display Options]] of the Data tab (or [[Gramps_5.1_Wiki_Manual_-_Settings#Display|Display tab]] in 5.1.x or earlier versions of Gramps) of the Preferences.
