How do I merge two Places into a single Place?
GRAMPS provides a merge utility that will allow you to combine two identical places into a single place.
The process is fairly simple:
- Switch to the Place View.
- Select the first Place by clicking on it.
- Select the second Place by holding down the Control key while clicking on it. This will select two places.
- Select Merge menu item from the Edit Menu.
Once you have done this, you will be presented with a form that will allow you to choose the name of the merged place. Clicking on OK will complete the operation.
